Sensor System Solutions Announces $600K Load Cell Agreement for Honeywell HomMed's Digital Scales
Posted on: Wednesday, 9 August 2006, 09:00 CDT
Sensor System Solutions, Inc.(3S) (OTCBB: SSYO) announced it has signed a renewal agreement for approximately $600,000 with Honeywell HomMed, LLC, and its alliance partner for load cells used in their home digital medical scale product line. It further represents the confidence that a Fortune 100 firm has in 3S' ability to continue supplying both high volume and superior quality medical market products.
Honeywell HomMed is a leader in the medical device industry and concentrates all of its expertise on telemonitoring of a patient's health. The company uses an automated system to monitor a patient's health remotely. The system, appropriately called "Genesis Monitor System," engages automatically and incorporates a friendly voice with easy-to-use interface to guide the patient through the monitoring process up to four times daily or when directed. A manual button allows in-home measurements to be taken when desired. This agreement covers 3S' load cells for use in a digital scale which measures the patient's weight, up to 500 pounds, and incorporates a larger footprint to provide added stability.
"3S has worked with Honeywell HomMed for several years, and this renewal agreement reinforces our commitment to provide high quality sensors to leading companies in the healthcare field," said Michael Young, President and CEO of Sensor System Solutions. "This agreement for our load cells will contribute over half a million dollars in the next two years alone. We are very pleased to continue our Honeywell HomMed relationship and to assist them as they provide improved patient care systems."
