Rural/Metro Wins Bid to Continue Medical Transportation Services to University of Colorado Hospital

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Aug. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Rural/Metro Corporation announced today that it has won a competitive bid to continue as the preferred provider of non-emergency medical transportation services for University of Colorado Hospital. The company was simultaneously awarded a renewal contract to continue providing critical care medical transportation through the hospital's LifeLink program.
The contracts continue through June 2011 and are expected to generate a combined $7.5 million in net revenue over their five-year period.

University of Colorado Hospital and University of Colorado Health Sciences Center are in the process of relocating operations from downtown Denver to Aurora, Colorado, where the 578-acre former Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center is undergoing a $4.3 billion renovation to accommodate the expanding medical facilities
