Zambia is set to receive $156 million for its health sector from the Swedish and Dutch governments over the next five years.
The grant money will be used to help the southern African nation implement its National Health Strategic Plan, AllAfrica.com reported.
The approximately $77 million from Sweden and $79 million from the Netherlands will further the goals of universal access to cost-effective, quality healthcare, government officials said, and will be used appropriately for its intended purpose.
This marks the latest in a series of donations from Sweden to Zambia that have gone toward poverty reduction and public service reform.
