The Health and Human Services Department awarded BearingPoint Inc. a contract valued at up to $13.7 million to provide program management services to the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology.
The contract is valued at $3.4 million in its base year and includes three one-year options.
BearingPoint will provide program management services to help keep projects on time and within budget, a communications portal and other communications infrastructure activities, and health IT subject matter experts.
BearingPoint also will support event planning and management for large-scale meetings, such as the recent Nationwide Health Information Network Forum, where HHS health IT contractors and interested stakeholders among medical providers, insurers, pharmacies, consumers and government can foster interoperability.
