Court Square Data Group to Discuss GSP/ITIL at Three Upcoming Conferences

Court Square has been selected to lead workshops and seminars at three major IT conferences this fall. Each event will focus on developing and executing a Good Systems Practice for FDA and other regulated industries.
Court Square Data Group, Inc., an IT consulting and managed services firm with offices throughout the Northeast, today announced that it has been selected to discuss the IT Infrastructure Library at three major events this fall. The presentations will focus on a version of ITIL, known as Good Systems Practice (GSP)(R), that has been optimized for biopharmaceutical firms that must comply with FDA regulations.
"FDA regulations make cost-containment and compliance extremely difficult," said Court Square CEO Keith Parent. "Whether it's record-keeping and audit trails, the need to qualify and validate automated systems, or issues regarding FDA's Critical Path Initiative, compliance is growing more costly by the day. We believe that an ITIL-based approach known as Good Systems Practice is the most reliable way for IT departments in FDA-regulated environments to make compliance an everyday part of the business, and thus cut costs and avoid failed audits."
Parent has been selected by FDAnews to lead a pre-conference workshop on server consolidation in a validated environment at the FDA Information Management Summit on November 29, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Marriott Bethesda North Hotel and Conference Center, Bethesda, MD.
In addition, FDAnews has asked Parent to join with former top FDA Investigator Martin Browning, President and Co-founder of Eduquest, to discuss the need for a Good Systems Practice approach to IT in FDA-regulated environments that equals the industry's other quality management approaches, such as GMP, GLP and GCP. This presentation will take place on November 30, between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Parent has also been invited to lead a seminar on how GSP/ITIL can be applied to a wide range of regulated industries - including biopharmaceuticals, banking, and healthcare - at the itSMF USA's national conference at the Salt Palace, Salt Lake City, UT, on September 19 between 2:00 p.m. and 2:50 p.m. The itSMF is the regulatory body that governs ITIL globally. The US conference attracts thousands of the world's leading ITIL experts each year.
Finally, Parent was selected to lead a pre-conference workshop on server consolidation in a validated environment at the Eighth Annual IT Infrastructure Qualification Conference at the Renaissance Atlanta Hotel Downtown, Atlanta, GA, on September 25 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Server consolidation in FDA-regulated environments can be costly and difficult. Parent will describe a GSP/ITIL process that makes such projects predictable and cost-effective.
