Unibased Systems Architecture, Inc. (USA) announces new products directed toward revenue cycle management, workflow efficiencies, and patient/physician easy access for the healthcare industry. The new offerings are web based, supplemented by current access management, scheduling, and surgery management products. The initial offering available immediately is Physicians Access and Referral (PAR), which will be followed shortly by a patient portal, bed management, capacity management, revenue, and resource utilization forecasting and modeling.
PAR allows physicians and their staff to schedule hospital services and procedures remotely via the web as well as reviewing their current patient schedules. The service is offered by hospitals currently using USA's award winning Resource Management System (RMS) and periOperative Resource Management System (ORMS). Like RMS/ORMS, the new products are rules based and profile driven, allowing each client a unique environment. PAR also incorporates a physician referral management option which facilitates the monitoring of utilization of resources by physicians and their resultant levels of satisfaction. Combined with scheduling of patient services and procedures from the physicians' offices, PAR will insure that hospital management is synchronized with physician and patient needs. The incorporation of automatic cell phone communication and kiosks, as appropriate, will expand the potential for workflow efficiencies.
According to Larry Covington, USA's President and Chief Operating Officer, "USA has been conducting research into these areas for more than four years and has often provided demonstrations showing the potential of these systems during this period. Generally, we have been referring to this area as Predictive Scheduling. It appears the market demand is evolving to the level where the offerings are economically justifiable. We hope to make the first deliveries within 60 days and supplement the implementations with executive level consulting."
About Unibased Systems Architecture (USA): Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, USA's reputation for product quality, reliability, and supporting services has no equal in the HIT industry. USA and its products have maintained highest rankings from the KLAS(TM) independent reporting for the last seven years. RMS is an integrated solution which schedules and tracks patient resource needs and utilization from pre-access through post procedure follow-up. ORMS is an integrated module which addresses OR scheduling, surgeon preferences, suite utilization, materials management, clinical worker training and certification. RMS/ORMS results in significant improvements in physician and patient relations. Visit USA on the web at www.unibased.com.
