New government data shows the number of uninsured Americans has grown to 46.6 million. That represents an increase of 800,000 Americans without health insurance -- meaning they have limited access to preventive care, such as doctor visits and prescription medicine. The good news is that there are hundreds of programs helping the uninsured get access to quality care.
