Robert M. Kolodner, MD, New Interim National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, to Address Third HIT Summit on Monday, September 25, 2006

Veterans Administration executive Robert M. Kolodner, MD has been appointed as the new Interim National Coordinator for Health Information Technology. Dr. Kolodner assumes the position vacated by former chief Dr. David J. Brailer who resigned in May from his role as National Coordinator of Health Information Technology. Dr. Kolodner has earned praise for leading the development of the VA's VistA program and its well-received health care information system.
Dr. Kolodner will make his inaugural address to the healthcare industry as the new Interim National HIT Coordinator at the Third Health Information Technology Summit on the morning of Monday, September 25, 2006.
