Newsweek Hosts Special Capitol Hill Panel Discussion on 'The New Age of Cancer Clinical Trials: Issues and Opportunities'

NEW YORK, Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Newsweek magazine is hosting a special panel discussion on "The New Age of Cancer Clinical Trials: Issues and Opportunities," on Wednesday, Oct. 4, at the United States Capitol, The Mansfield Room, in Washington, D.C. The Coalition of Cancer Cooperative Groups will participate in the presentation.
Alexis Gelber, Newsweek's Director of Editorial Special Projects, will moderate the discussion, which will focus on new advances in cancer research, barriers to trial access and related legislative issues. Panelists include Dr. Martin D. Abeloff, Director of The Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins, Nancy Davenport-Ennis, Chief Executive Officer of the National Patient Advocate Foundation, and David Noonan, Newsweek Senior Editor. Additional panelists will represent legislative and clinical perspectives on the topic.
