Sciele Pharma Introduces OSTIVA(TM), a New Women's Health Product

Sciele Pharma, Inc. (NASDAQ:SCRX) today announced the introduction of OSTIVA™, an oral prescription nutritional supplement formulation with Metafolin®, calcium, and vitamin D that gives women nutritional support to help maintain healthy bones.
OSTIVA™ offers a nutritional foundation for maintaining bone health. It contains Metafolin®, an active form of folate, which can aid in reducing elevated homocysteine levels and, by doing so, may lead to healthier bones. OSTIVA™ also contains calcium, which can contribute to the development of healthy bones; vitamin D, which helps enhance the absorption of calcium within the body; and magnesium and vitamins B6 and B12, which may contribute to maintaining bone health. Together with regular exercise, a healthy diet, and enough calcium, OSTIVA™ can help women take action to reduce the risk of osteoporosis. OSTIVA may be used in conjunction with other products that may require dietary supplementation, such as bisphosphonates.
