Patients have a new treatment option called Vectibix, the first entirely human anti-EGFr antibody to significantly improve progression-free survival as a monotherapy for patients with advanced colorectal cancer. Vectibix is designed to selectively target the epidermal growth factor receptor, which is known to be involved in the development and progression of several cancers. It also offers a convenient once-every-two-week dosing schedule.

Amgen, the developer of Vectibix, is also introducing a new program that will provide financial assistance to cancer patients taking Vectibix. Through this new program, every eligible cancer patient in the U.S. will have access to Vectibix regardless of their ability to pay.
