Amish School Shooting: The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Statement - Final Condition Update

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is providing this final condition update on the three pediatric trauma patients who were brought to our Emergency Department Monday afternoon following the schoolhouse shooting in Lancaster County.

"The families have asked us not to share any further information on their children and respect their privacy during this difficult time," said Gavin Kerr, executive vice president and chief operating officer at Children's Hospital. "We will honor the families' wishes and this will be the last condition update The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia will provide."

The families offer their deepest appreciation for the outpouring of sympathy and prayers from around the region, across the country and around the world. They ask that people continue to keep them in their thoughts and prayers.

The patient conditions are as follows:

1. 8-year-old female with neck and arm injuries (gunshot) remains in critical condition.

2. 10-year-old female with a head injury (gunshot) remains in critical condition.

3. 12-year-old female with arm and leg injuries remains in serious condition.
