BRISBANE, Calif., Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Cutera Inc. , a leading provider of laser and other light-based aesthetic systems for practitioners worldwide, today announced the availability of LimeLight(TM), the first programmable wavelength three-in-one device for skin rejuvenation, pigmented lesions and facial vascular lesions (including telangiectasia).
"Pigmented and vascular lesions of the face are the number one concern for many patients, and visible light technologies have proven to be the best approach for these skin blemishes," said E. Victor Ross, MD, board certified dermatologist at Scripps Clinic in San Diego, California. "With LimeLight's programmability and flexibility, I can customize treatments for a variety of lesions, and I'm seeing excellent results."
"LimeLight takes facial rejuvenation to a new level," said Barry DiBernardo, MD, board certified plastic surgeon in Montclair, New Jersey. "Unlike other broad spectrum devices, LimeLight is the first device that gives practitioners control of the parameters most effective for each particular lesion. By tuning in the exact target settings on LimeLight, the treatment time for diffuse redness and pigmented lesions on my patients has been significantly improved."
According to a report published by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, during 2005, non-ablative facial rejuvenation treatments in the U.S. generated approximately $370 million for physician offices that offer light-based aesthetic treatments. LimeLight is an enhancement to Cutera's popular facial rejuvenation technology, offering broader functionality and increased versatility. LimeLight is compatible with Cutera's Xeo and Solera platforms.
Cutera also introduced today a new clinical navigation user interface for the Xeo platform. Xeo Navigation integrates an innovative dynamic mapping feature that steers practitioners to treatment guideline parameter ranges for various patient conditions.
