Allscripts to Host 2006 Investor Day

CHICAGO, Oct. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Allscripts , the leading provider of clinical software, connectivity and information solutions that physicians use to improve healthcare, announced today that it will host the Company's 2006 Investor Day on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 in New York City. David Brailer, M.D., Ph.D., named by President Bush as the first National Coordinator for Healthcare Information Technology in 2004, will join the Allscripts event and provide the keynote presentation. Dr. Brailer is widely credited with bringing national attention to the need for healthcare information technology to lower costs and improve the quality of patient care.
