Sexual Harassment Course for Health Firms

October 20, 2006

Preventing Sexual Harassment for Healthcare Organizations is the title of a new online training course for U.S. healthcare firms.

The developer, Health Care Compliance Strategies, said its new program is designed for hospitals, health plans and healthcare facilities with large staffs to educate all employees on what is acceptable and unacceptable behavior and to educate management on how to properly respond to complaints.

The online course includes video scenarios depicting real-life healthcare specific situations that every staff member must be aware of, HCCS said.

Sexual harassment continues to be a particularly severe problem in healthcare organizations, said HCCS Chief Executive Officer Mitchell Diamond. The rules governing behavior in this area can often be vague and confusing. This course addresses those situations with clear examples to help change behavior, to prevent harassment and to protect healthcare organizations.
