"We selected Marttitm because there's a real benefit to patients, doctors and staff that are able to see and hear the interpreter's right in front of them on the video monitor. We want to make sure we do everything possible to meet the needs of those in our community by providing the best quality of care possible and that means being able to communicate with those we serve."
"Our agreement with Olympia Medical Center is a great opportunity for our company to serve the nation's largest limited English proficient market and reflects the broad applicability of our technology in the healthcare market. We look forward to decreasing liability and increasing trust with every interpretation delivered at Olympia Medical Center," said Michael Guirlinger, CEO/COO of Language Access Network.
In 2006 the population of California ranked number one for its limited English proficient residents with 39 percent of the population speaking English less than very well.
