Molina Healthcare Health Plans Recognized Among Top Medicaid Health Plans By U.S. News & World Report

Molina Healthcare, Inc. (NYSE:MOH) today announced that U.S. News & World Report, in collaboration with the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), has ranked several of Molina's health plans among the top fifty Medicaid plans in the United States for the second year in a row. The full list of health plans in the U.S. News & World Report/NCQA America's Best Health Plans 2006 survey will appear in the November 6th issue of U.S. News & World Report magazine to be released on October 30th. The issue will include rankings for the best Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial health plans throughout the country.
According to the survey, among Medicaid plans in the United States, Molina Healthcare of Utah ranks 12th, Molina Healthcare of Michigan ranks 32nd, Molina Healthcare of New Mexico ranks 37th, Molina Healthcare of Washington ranks 38th, Molina Healthcare of California, Sacramento-GMC ranks 45th, and Molina Healthcare of California, Riverside ranks 46th.

In order to establish the rankings, U.S. News & World Report used data collected by the NCQA, a private non-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality. NCQA accredits and certifies managed care plans and other health care organizations nationwide in order to help consumers make more informed health care choices.
