Eclipsys Sunrise Clinical Manager(TM) Successfully Activated at University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers

BOCA RATON, Fla., Nov. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Eclipsys Corporation(R) , The Outcomes Company(R), today announced that University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers (UMHHC), Ann Arbor, MI, successfully activated Eclipsys Sunrise Clinical Manager(TM) as part of a system-wide initiative focused on implementing technology to help improve care delivery. In the one clinical department in which the solution was activated, physicians have adopted the Sunrise Clinical Manager's CPOE system 100 percent.

One of the largest and most respected health care providers in the country, UMHHC consistently ranks high on the Honor Roll of America's Best Hospitals compiled by U.S. News & World Report, and was ranked 12th best in 2006.

UMHHC has integrated the Sunrise Clinical Manager CPOE system along with results, electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR), and patient lists with its existing Laboratory, Radiology, and Pharmacy systems as part of its clinical information technology infrastructure.
