avVaa World Health Care Products Receives $33,000 Repeat Order From Hispanic Health Institute

Posted on: Monday, 20 November 2006, 09:01 CST

LUMBY, British Columbia, Nov. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- avVaa World Health Care Products Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: AVVW) , a global biotechnology company offering therapeutic, natural skin and health care products, announced today it has received a $33,000 (USD) re-order for the company's therapeutic skin and health care products from the Hispanic Health Institute (HHI) as part of the Houston Pilot Project.

The Hispanic Health Institute is currently leading The Houston Pilot Project, directed by Dr. Mario Zamora, who was recently named an Advisor to the Board of Directors at avVaa. HHI is an organization with special expertise and contacts within the Hispanic community throughout North America.

Jack Farley, CEO/Board Chairman, said, "We are pleased and excited at the initial success of the Hispanic market launch in Houston and surrounding areas even before full scale advertising and market campaigns commence. Major advertising and talk show interviews with Dr. Zamora will get into full gear the last two weeks in November."

Farley continued, "The first two orders from HHI represent sales at the retail level of approximately $162,000. The first two and half weeks of the program have greatly exceeded all projections and have proven that we are on the right path for financial success in the Hispanic skincare marketplace. We are already planning similar product launches in two other major US Hispanic markets."

HHI Director Dr. Mario Zamora said, "The Hispanic Market comprises 40 million people, including children, (NEUROSKIN Mild is for kids, too!) At an annual rate, approximately 30% - 40% of the Hispanic population suffer with skin conditions.

"Many occupations such as cleaning, cooking, manufacturing and construction result in exposure to toxic substances and environmental concerns. Exposure to pesticides, cleansers, gases, dust, extreme temperatures, sunlight, chemical and other toxins can have a damaging effect on the skin. Another consideration is dietary factors that can lead to acne."

Zamora continued, "Only 10% of the Hispanic population is treated by dermatologists, with an average cost per visit, including treatments, of $200 - $300. Psoriasis treatment costs are even higher. 90% of this population is uninsured. As a result, over-the-counter drug stores are numerous in cities with large Hispanic populations.

"HHI is initiating an intensive advertising campaign to bring avVaa products to this underserved Hispanic population."
