Benicorp Insurance Company and Municipal Insurance Company of America (MICA) Now Offer Care Management Services Through Health Dialog

Health Dialog Services Corporation today announced that Benicorp Insurance Company and Municipal Insurance Company of America (MICA) now offer members whole person care management support. Under an agreement between Health Dialog and McKee Benefit Services Corporation, the parent company of both Benicorp and MICA, more than 67,000 members and their dependents will have access to Health Coaching and related support across a broad spectrum of healthcare needs. Benicorp and MICA serve employers of all sizes across eleven states.

Health Dialog Health Coaches, who are registered nurses, dieticians, and respiratory therapists, work with individuals and family members by telephone and online to help them manage chronic conditions, significant medical decisions, and general health and wellness concerns. Using a Shared Decision-Making® approach, Health Coaches are available around the clock to help individuals understand the total picture of their health, as well as risks, benefits, and outcomes of various treatment options, so they can gain the skills and self-reliance necessary to work more effectively with their physicians.

In addition to Health Coaching, members have access to a wealth of educational tools and resources, including an award-winning library of videos and a member Web site. Health Dialog's Shared Decision-Making® videos help individuals understand complex medical issues such as knee osteoarthritis, back pain, prostate cancer, breast cancer, and more. The Dialog CenterSM web site offers detailed support through the Healthwise® Knowledgebase, an encyclopedic health information database. From their own telephone, members can listen to audio programs on more than 300 healthcare topics.
