National Influenza Vaccination Week serves as a reminder that getting vaccinated is the single best way to protect yourself and your loved ones against influenza. Vaccine supply is the highest ever and will continue to arrive on a rolling basis through December 2006. While many Americans believe flu season ends in the fall, it actually extends well into the New Year. The time to get an influenza vaccine extends well into winter, through early 2007, when the influenza season typically peaks. Secretary Leavitt is attending the Jessie Trice Center flu clinic to encourage people to get vaccinated.
