BELLEVUE, Wash., Nov. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- LYNX Medical Systems (LYNX), the leading provider of emergency medicine documentation and revenue management solutions, today announced that an agreement had been reached with Community Memorial Hospital (CMH) to implement LYNX Emergency Department (ED) patient documentation and coding software applications.
"LYNX best fit our needs to further enhance patient documentation and the quality of care," said Lynne Niemann, RN, director of Patient Services at Community Memorial Hospital. "We're looking forward to implementing the LYNX system. It will help us better document care to ensure accurate reimbursement."
LYNX E/Map is a clinical documentation and patient tracking tool specifically designed for the ED. The E/Map encounter log provides demographic information for each patient record, and displays documentation status. By employing LYNX extensive clinical content knowledgebase, E/Map generates bar- coded documentation templates based upon the patient's presenting problem, age and gender. This electronic documentation system will enable CMH to further enhance patient care, accurately record each patient encounter and streamline ED workflows.
LYNX E/Code is a comprehensive outpatient ICD-9 and CPT coding and auditing software application. E/Code increases coding efficiencies by providing coding management workflow queues and pre-reconciliation of patient documentation prior to coding. An added feature of E/Code is the ability to improve current processes by providing documentation feedback for clinicians and other ED staff. CMH will have access to a variety of reporting tools to monitor, analyze and better manage the coding process. E/Code helps ensure code assignment is based upon complete patient documentation, thereby increasing compliance and generating appropriate, defensible revenue.
"LYNX is proud to be partnering with Community Memorial," said Gene Cattarina, president and CEO of LYNX Medical Systems. "Their dedication to the community reflects the same commitment we have to our clients. It's a pleasure to be working with this respected institution."
