Aethlon Medical Receives 2007 Innovative HIV Life Science Leadership Award From The AIDS Institute

Aethlon Medical, Inc., (OTCBB:AEMD) announced today that it has been selected as the recipient of The AIDS Institute's 2007 Innovative HIV Life Science Leadership Award. The award was given based upon criteria which include: the pursuit of innovative approaches to controlling HIV, the demonstration of a commitment to working within the AIDS community at-large and the continuity of research related to managing HIV-related illness and care. "We are honored to be recognized for our effort to improve HIV care," stated Aethlon Chairman and CEO, James A. Joyce. "We look forward to working with the AIDS Institute and its HIV Research Innovation Program to advance the development of AIDS therapies utilizing our HemopurifierTM technology platform," concluded Joyce.
Aethlon Medical is the first recipient of the Innovative HIV Life Science Award. The AIDS Institute has also awarded National HIV/AIDS Care and Treatment Awards to Senators Michael Enzi (WY) and Edward Kennedy (MA), and to Congressmen Joe Barton (TX) and John Dingell (MI). Congresswoman Barbara Lee was the recipient of the National HIV Prevention Award.
