Christiana Care Health System Adopts Interactive Patient Care Services

Posted on: Tuesday, 5 December 2006, 09:01 CST

GetWellNetwork is to provide the US-based Christiana Care Health System with interactive patient care services. As a result, patients in Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey will be informed about their healthcare process through interactive education, feedback tools and entertainment options via in-room television monitors.

GetWellNetwork says that, with the addition of Christiana Care's three healthcare facilities, more than 1,100 beds will be joining the half a million patients already impacted by the PatientLife system every year.

Christiana Care will deploy the system in patient rooms across its facilities. Patients will become more active participants in their healthcare process by using tools directly at the bedside that provide medication information, patient safety, pain management, health and wellness information, and entertainment and web access.

GetWellNetwork says that, by using its system, the healthcare organization will be able to achieve new levels of service, patient satisfaction, quality outcomes and compliance, and nursing efficiency.

"The return on investment is both clinical and financial," said Christiana Care CIO Steve Hess.
