BELLEVUE, Wash., Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- LYNX Medical Systems (LYNX), the leading provider of emergency medicine documentation and revenue management solutions, today announced that an agreement had been reached with Waverly Health Center (Waverly) to implement LYNX E/Map clinical Emergency Department (ED) documentation and E/Code coding software applications.
"LYNX Medical Systems came highly recommended by area ED physician groups," stated Waverly ED nurse manager, Jen Westendorf, RN, BSN, CNRN, R.NCS.T. "We looked at LYNX and agreed that their clinical content, patient documentation and outpatient coding software were the best to fit our needs. LYNX was definitely our first choice."
LYNX E/Map is a clinical documentation and patient tracking tool specifically designed for the ED. By employing LYNX extensive clinical knowledgebase, E/Map generates customized clinical documentation based upon the patient's presenting problem, age and gender. This electronic documentation system will enable Waverly to further enhance clinical care while automating the ED. Physicians will have immediate access to previous patient ED records to assist in patient care. E/Map will also help Waverly to accurately record each patient encounter while streamlining the workflow in the ED.
E/Code is a comprehensive outpatient ICD-9 and CPT coding software application. E/Code heightens coding efficiencies by providing coding management workflow queues and pre-reconciling patient documentation prior to the code assignment process. An added feature of E/Code is the ability to improve current processes by providing documentation feedback for clinicians and other ED staff. The software application ensures code assignment is based upon patient documentation, thereby increasing compliance and appropriate revenue.
"For over a century, Waverly Health Center has provided the community with outstanding patient care," said Gene Cattarina, president and CEO of LYNX Medical Systems. "We are very pleased to be partnering with this dedicated healthcare organization."
