MediTract Unveils Coids(TM), Conflict of Interest Disclosure Statement Tracking System
Posted on: Monday, 11 December 2006, 09:01 CST
MediTract, Inc., the leading contract management service provider exclusively serving the healthcare industry, today introduced the COIDS (Conflict of Interest Disclosure Statement) tracking system. The system creates operational efficiencies for healthcare organizations by automating the collection, distribution, submission and management of annual conflict of interest disclosure statements.
A complementary module to the TractManager system, COIDS uses a centralized database that manages multiple categories of statements with specific areas for compliance and the disclosure of outside interest and activities. Authorized management users have continual, secure access to the database to review statements for possible conflicts, as well as being able to use the system to demonstrate control for accreditations and auditors. The system will allow users to create reports by Category of Statement, Entity, Department/Practice, Status, Resolution, Fiscal Year, etc.
"With the COIDS system, users can streamline workflow and administrative processes, and it is the ideal solution for healthcare organizations in their effort to meet the latest Stark compliance requirements," said Amy Dollarhide, vice president, client services, MediTract, Inc. "With immediate access to a centralized, secure database, some users have found that the turnaround time for tracking Conflict of Interest Disclosure Statements has been up to five times faster than manual methods."
MediTract's TractManager system provides healthcare managers and staff with direct, real-time access to all electronically stored contracts and other business-critical organizational documents. The COIDS tracking system is the first complementary module to launch for the TractManager system, with future module announcements planned for 2007.
