National Health Partners Announces Plans to Expand Insurance Programs for Health Advantage One
Posted on: Wednesday, 13 December 2006, 09:01 CST
National Health Partners, Inc. (OTCBB: NHPR), a leading provider of unique discount healthcare membership programs, announced today that it plans to launch several new insurance programs that are being designed to work with the Company's CARExpress healthcare discount program. The Company also announced that it sees sales continuing to grow at a record pace in 2007.
The new programs are being created to combine specific health insurance benefits that complement the benefits of the Company's CARExpress membership programs by reducing or even eliminating the remaining cost of the discounted service. This new "wrap-around" approach will provide significant advantages to consumers as well as businesses through a new low-cost approach that can reduce monthly insurance expenses by up to 70%. The Company expects to have a portfolio of up to 10 different programs under the Company's newly created Health Advantage One Program. These programs are expected to be launched in January 2007.
"These new 'wraparound' programs provide the best of both worlds for our members because the CARExpress membership cards provides a 'point of service' discount and the insurance programs can pay for most, if not all, of the remaining portion of the medical expense," stated David M. Daniels, President and CEO of National Health Partners. "We have experienced a great deal of success with our CARExpress programs on a stand-alone basis. We believe that we are now poised to take these programs to the next level by combining them with insurance programs under Health Advantage One."
"Through Health Advantage One, we are responding to what the marketplace has needed for quite some time -- an inexpensive solution to a growing healthcare crisis," continued Mr. Daniels. "We believe that we will be able to offer specific programs that are tailored to the various needs of individuals and groups. Our objective is to offer programs that are priced substantially lower than traditional health insurance programs, but provide coverage that in many cases are better than full coverage insurance. We believe that we can offer these new programs from 50%-70% less than what full coverage insurance policies ordinarily cost."
Mr. Daniels added, "We have made major strides in building a solid foundation for our future growth. I am pleased to state that we currently have more cash on hand than we have ever had in our history and our memberships and sales are at an all-time high. We continue see more and more opportunities as a result of the good reputation that we have developed."
