Health Net Supports Collaborative Effort Between Civilian and Military Health Care

Health Net Federal Services, Inc. (HNFS), the government operations division of Health Net, Inc. (NYSE:HNT), today announced a $2,500 donation to the Newport Hospital Foundation. Newport Hospital, a local civilian hospital, partners with the Naval Health Clinic New England to provide inpatient care for all Naval personnel in the Newport TRICARE service area.

"Health Net Federal Services is very proud to support Newport Hospital, which we work with very closely, to optimize the military's health care system and extend the standards of Naval medicine transparently," said Steve Tough, president, HNFS.

Funds will support patient care, clinical education and medical research at Newport Hospital, which has served the community since 1873. Newport Hospital is a distinguished Magnet facility, credentialed by the American Nurses Association for reduced recovery times, superior medical outcomes and excellent patient satisfaction.
