CHILDREN can expend energy pent up over the Christmas period during Fun Zone sessions at Houghton Sports Centre, in Station Road, Houghton-le-Spring, on Friday, Sunday and Tuesday, January 2, from noon to 2pm. Fun Zone includes a bouncy castle, plastic play area, badminton and new-age curling, for both boys and girls, aged three to 13. Sessions cost 1.30 an hour.
