Sunrise Clinical Manager's single integrated clinical platform will enable patient information to flow easily across Harrison Medical Center's acute care venues, and provide its clinicians with an electronic medical record based on clinician-centered workflows. Harrison Medical Center will now have a comprehensive overview of patient data in a single view that is tailored to individual requirements so clinicians can easily see the full patient picture and make efficient, informed decisions about the care patients need.

"Harrison Medical Center is committed to excellence in healthcare delivery and patient safety, as evidenced by being a recent recipient of the HealthGrades Cardiac Surgery Excellence Award, with a number one ranking in Washington State and a top ten rank nationally," said Scott W. Bosch, president and chief executive officer, Harrison Medical Center. "Given the company's track record in helping its customers achieve improved patient-care outcomes in high-acuity care settings, Eclipsys was the logical choice to provide the technology platform to help us achieve our goal of turning more care delivery units at Harrison Medical Center into award-winning and nationally-recognized centers of care."

To help Harrison Medical Center achieve a consistently high-standard of care, the organization will integrate Eclipsys evidence-based clinical content into its care delivery processes to provide its clinicians access to critical information where and when they need it. Additionally, by integrating Eclipsys' computerized physician order entry (CPOE) system with the evidence- based clinical content, Harrison Medical Center will be able to standardize high-quality care delivery processes across its organization.

"A committee of more than 600 employees, comprised primarily of clinicians, led our decision to select Sunrise Clinical Manager, as they determined it was the best clinical information solution to help Harrison Medical Center improve care delivery," said Adar Palis, vice president, operations and chief information officer, Harrison Medical Center. "We are also very excited to engage Eclipsys Consulting Services to help us optimize our care delivery processes and achieve high rates of clinician adoption. This will help us drive measurable outcome improvements across our organization and maximize our investment in Sunrise Clinical Manager."

"Harrison Medical Center is well-known for its commitment to quality in care delivery and we are honored to add them to the growing list of healthcare organizations using Sunrise Clinical Manager solutions to achieve desired quality, safety, and financial outcomes," said Jay Deady, Eclipsys executive vice president, Customer Solutions. "We look forward to leveraging our experience working with community hospitals and our proven clinician adoption and outcome achievement methodologies to deliver an on-time, on-budget implementation that helps Harrison Medical Center achieve its care improvement goals."

Harrison Medical Center will also use Eclipsys' newly acquired solution Sunrise Patient Acuity(TM), which automatically determines patient acuity as a byproduct of clinical documentation, which will help the medical center optimize staffing to help improve patient safety and cost-effectiveness of care.
