January 11, 2007
Repost This

The number of cases of campylobacter food poisoning reported to Public Health in the Nelson region so far this year looks to be on a par with other years. Figures supplied by Public Health show it was notified of 238 cases last year, up from 232 cases in 2005. Nelson medical officer of health Ed Kiddle said there was typically an increase in the number of reported cases during summer, and this year was looking to be no exception, although the numbers reported did not seem to be greater than in other years.
