January 12, 2007
Repost This

Twenty portraits of Rhode Island children awaiting adoption make up an exhibit at the Providence Public Library’s main branch now through the end of January. “A Journey of the Heart,” the 2nd annual Heart Gallery of portraits, seeks to introduce viewers to some of the children in need of homes, either through adoptions, foster parenting, or mentoring. Several children who were featured last year have since been placed in permanent homes.

The exhibit will be at the library’s Rochambeau branch, 708 Hope St., in March.

The library’s main branch is at 150 Empire St., Providence, and the exhibit is open during regular library hours, Monday and Thursday noon to 8 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

For more information, call (401) 455-8090 or visit www.provlib.org.
