Menorah Home and Hospital Joins MJHS
NEW YORK, Jan. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Metropolitan Jewish Health System (MJHS) is pleased to announce that Menorah Home and Hospital has joined the participating agencies and programs of MJHS, effective December 14, 2006.
Jane Rosenthal will continue in her current leadership position at Menorah and has been named Executive Vice President of Menorah's operations.
Menorah joins Metropolitan Jewish Geriatric Center (MJGC) and Shorefront Jewish Geriatric Center (SJGC) in bringing the total complement of in-patient services to the System to 1190 beds. Menorah's high standards of care complement the premium services offered by MJGC and SJGC. This new relationship will provide the community with more comprehensive short-term and long-term treatment options and increased access to care.
"Metropolitan Jewish Health System was founded 100 years ago as the Brooklyn Hebrew Ladies Home for the Aged-it has grown into a regional health system which also includes managed care, home care, hospice and other community-based services to more than 40,000 people a year," said Shmuel Lefkowitz, Chairman of the MJHS Board of Directors. "There is no better way to begin our next century together than by welcoming an important health care facility like Menorah to help us continue the mission of caring that began a century ago."
"I look forward to working with Jane Rosenthal as Executive Vice President," said Eli S. Feldman, President and CEO of MJHS. "Jane's experience with Menorah will be a valuable asset as we embark together on this exciting new time for MJHS."
MJHS is a recognized leader in the field of integrated health care. The services of MJHS include Managed Care, Home Care, Hospice, Palliative Care, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Independent Living, Adult Day Health Care and Research.
