Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy Expands Oncology, CKD, Infusion and Administrative Departments – Moves to Larger Corporate Headquarters
FLINT, Mich., Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ — Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy today announced that it has expanded its Oncology, Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and Infusion Departments. The company has acquired a former Delphi Corporation building to make room for the expansion. The 18,000+ square foot building will also house Diplomat’s corporate headquarters and a patient treatment center.
“The building is equipped with the necessary technology that fits with our expansion plans,” Phil Hagerman, President and CEO, stated. “Along with creating the room for our growing corporate support team, we have expanded our national call center for our oncology program and will soon open our new out- patient infusion center. This proactive approach maintains Diplomat’s motto of ‘Keeping patients healthier … longer’.”

The new site, located in Flint Township, will house up to 8 suites for out-patient treatments. Additional offices will field calls from patients across the nation seeking cost saving methods to combat their illnesses. “Given the cost of new drugs for fighting certain cancers,” Hagerman said, “Diplomat’s exclusive Oncology Navigator program helps patients with the often difficult prior authorization insurance process and locating co-pay assistance.”
Embracing new medical treatments and services, due to the new bio- technology drugs, fosters growth at Diplomat. About a year ago, the business had 77 employees, today’s payroll is over 160. The company expects to hire at least 50 more employees locally by the end of 2007.
