Boston Medical Center Selects Martti(TM) for Interpretation Services

Language Access Network (OTC:LANW), the leader in video interpretation services, announced today a new services agreement with Boston Medical Center, Boston, Massachusetts. Under the agreement, Language Access Network will provide video interpretation service in 150 languages, including American Sign Language (ASL). The service, known as Martti™ (My Accessible Real-Time Trusted Interpreter), will be available free to patients in Boston Medical Center’s Emergency Department 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Boston Medical Center is the first hospital in the Massachusetts to offer the Martti™ service to their limited English proficient and Deaf and hard of hearing patients.

“Martti™ will assist our staff in providing the best quality care for those with limited English proficiency and the Deaf and hard of hearing patients whom we encounter everyday,” said Oscar Arocha, Director of Interpreter and Guest Support Services at Boston Medical Center.
