American Institute of Healthcare & Fitness Officially Opens Saturday With Grand Opening 'Health & Wellness Day'

RALEIGH, N.C., Jan. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- American Institute of Healthcare & Fitness (AIHF) announced today its official Grand Opening "Health & Wellness Day" event on Saturday, January 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at its new North Raleigh location off Six Forks Road. Olympic Gold Medalist Kristi Yamaguchi, Hurricane's Mascot "Stormy," and two-time National Jump Rope Champions "The Bouncing Bulldogs" will all make appearances at Saturday's event, which is free and open to the public. AIHF's new, 187,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility delivers a full range of individualized medical care, nutrition, exercise facilities, counseling and wellness services in an integrated healthcare setting.
Twenty-five interactive booths manned by healthcare professionals will provide education on healthcare issues mixed with interactive fun and games like "Ask the Surgeon,""Play Operation," and "Healthcare Jeopardy Games." Several demonstrations and exhibitions including Healthy Cooking Demonstrations, Exercise Exhibitions, and a Speaker's Forum featuring topics on Healthy Living will occur simultaneously at the event. Other entertainment includes a youth activities center and obstacle course, prizes, clowns, refreshments and musical entertainment. Goodie bags will be given to the first 500 guests, and each guest can register to win a Healthcare Grand Prize Package valued at $5,000.
The schedule for Saturday's event includes: Healthcare Speaker's Forum every half hour from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; Healthy Cooking Demonstrations at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.; Appearances by Kristi Yamaguchi at 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.; Exercise Exhibitions from noon to 4:00 p.m.; Appearances by Hurricanes Mascot "Stormy" at 12:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m.; and performances by Bouncing Bulldogs National Championship Jump Rope Team from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
