30-Tablets-a-Day Woman’s Natural Death

A 72-year-old woman who took 30 to 40 prescribed tablets a day died of natural causes.
An inquest in Merthyr Tydfil was told Jacqueline Owen’s ailments had been kept under control by the drugs but she died on January 22 last year.
A post-mortem examination showed Mrs Owen, of Ashgrove, Pentre, Rhondda, had
heart disease.
