Two Part Health-Care Seminar

The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, Northern Kentucky Small Business Development Center and Humana, the health insurance company, will provide a two-session seminar on health-care costs on Friday and Feb. 22.

The chamber said the seminar will answer questions about why health-care costs are skyrocketing at three times the Consumer Price Index and how they can keep health plans affordable through new health plan designs, pharmacy programs and other strategies.

The sessions will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. at the chamber headquarters, 300 Buttermilk Pike in Fort Mitchell. Cost per session is $15 for members, $25 for non-members. For more information, contact Daniele S. Longo at (859) 341-5699 or dlongo@nkychamber.com.

How to leverage computer skills

Jason Redwine of Cincinnati’s Redwine Consulting will make a presentation on how to leverage computer skills to serve both your business and your clients better at the Feb. 7 meeting of Women in Insurance and Financial Services.

The luncheon meeting — open to both men and women — will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel, 5901 Pfeiffer Road, Blue Ash. The cost is $25 for members and $35 for non- members. Summit on Ky. manufacturing

The Kentucky Association of Manufacturers will hold a manufacturing “think-tank” summit called “ProsperousKentucky 2007″ from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Frankfort Convention Center in Frankfort, Ky. The summit is expected to attract some 500 Kentucky manufacturers to hear state and national business and political leaders talks about new ideas on how to protect Kentucky’s manufacturing industry and help it grow, the association said. Gov. Ernie Fletcher is expected to deliver one of the keynote speeches.
