Hyland to Provide Document Management Software for Arnett Health System

OnBase developer Hyland Software has been named by Arnett Health Systems as the US healthcare organization's chosen solution provider for document management.
Hyland's OnBase enterprise content management product was fully implemented by Arnett Health Systems in early November 2006. Now, in order to serve 14 multi-specialty ambulatory clinics throughout the state of Indiana, OnBase will be integrated with EpicCare Ambulatory EMR and used in patient records and clinical areas first.
The Epic solution will provide integrated and batch scanning and retrieval of documents linking all pertinent information for a patient together.
"It is critical that Arnett's many remote clinics have access to patient records regardless at which location a patient presents. The OnBase integration with the EpicCare Ambulatory EMR insures that Arnett's clinicians have access not only to the information stored natively in Epic, but also the outside documentation that is now presented seamlessly through the OnBase interface with Epic," noted Ed McQuiston, director of healthcare solutions at Hyland.
"This eliminates the need for couriers and faxing of medical records information in order to provide a single, integrated electronic health record for Arnett, ultimately increasing organizational efficiency, and improving patient care and satisfaction," he continued.
