Urix, a leading independent provider of healthcare business intelligence and predictive modeling solutions, today announced a multi-year contract with Physicians Health Plan of Northern Indiana, Inc. (PHPNI). PHPNI, a physician-sponsored not-for-profit health maintenance organization, will use the Urix Analytic Platform to deliver comprehensive, detailed reports to evaluate claims experience for their insured and self-funded customers.
The Urix Analytical Platform (UAP) is an enterprise, ETL and data warehouse product with interactive data mining, analytic "cubes", drillable reports, and report publisher with extensive graphing capabilities for employer account reporting. The UAP also uses DxCG predictive models to help quantify the impact of a patient's health status on medical costs and predict future treatment needs of patients.
"The Urix Analytical Platform will give us more insight into the health needs and claims experience of our population, allowing us to better serve our customers and sponsoring physicians with comprehensive reports that will help them understand benefit plan costs" said Randy Kummer, vice president and chief financial officer of Physicians Health Plan of Northern Indiana. "This valuable information adds to our ability to proactively manage our member population while providing our customers and providers with the information needed to help them understand the drivers of healthcare costs."
"PHPNI's selection of Urix demonstrates the growing need for a complete single enterprise solution for data transformation, data mining and reporting," said John J. Farrell, president of Urix. "We are looking forward to working with Physicians Health Plan of Northern Indiana."
