Vetter Health Services to Pilot Electronic Health Record-Enabled Clinical and Financial Software
Posted on: Tuesday, 6 February 2007, 15:01 CST
Vetter Health Services (www.vetterhealthservices.com) today announced its plans to pilot Achieve Matrix, a Web-based clinical and financial software system offered by Achieve Healthcare Technologies (www.achievehealthcare.com), Eden Prairie, Minn.
"We want to improve the quality of life for our residents and the quality of the workplace for our staff," said Mitch Elliot, director of facility development for Vetter Health Services. "By moving toward a paperless system, we are empowering our staff to spend more time with residents and less time with administrative paperwork."
Achieve Matrix encompasses EHR capabilities by sharing care information, such as progress notes, orders, care plans and assessments across the care setting. In addition, Minimum Data Set information is shared with the billing office to ensure the accurate transmittal of information tied to reimbursement. Achieve Matrix also allows for document uploads that directly associates images to orders for lab and radiology results or other categories, such as resident forms, rehab forms, consults and dietary.
"Our goal is to provide a quality product to our partners that helps them realize the true return on their investment and successfully reach their objectives," said Travis Palmquist, national director of sales for Achieve. "We share Vetter Health Services' passion for improving care for our nation's elderly and want to help them achieve their care goals with quality technology."
In addition to Achieve Matrix, Vetter also chose Achieve's Point of Care, a mobile resident charting solution that allows clinicians to capture data right at the bedside and automatically transmit it to support the MDS. This real-time care tracking improves accuracy, decreases errors and streamlines the entire care process.
Vetter Health Service will pilot the Achieve products at Heritage of Bel-Air (www.heritagebelair.com) in Norfolk, Neb., a 108-bed facility that provides care to residents who need skilled nursing care, rehabilitation services and specialized Alzheimer's support.
