New York’s Mount Sinai Hospital has entered into an agreement with Alpha Systems to use the technology firm’s document scanning and indexing services to help with its move to a paperless environment.

The Mount Sinai Hospital is a 1,171-bed, tertiary care teaching hospital and one of the premier healthcare providers in New York. The hospital hopes, by using Alpha Systems’ document management services, to be able to move from traditional paper filing to electronic document management and gain anytime, anywhere access to critical parts of the medical record.

“We are proud to have a hospital of Mount Sinai’s stature select Alpha Systems to assist in the scanning of hospital inpatient medical records,” said Brett Griffith, president and CEO of Alpha Systems. “They understand the importance of moving to a paperless environment and our services will provide electronic accessibility to medical records and result in valuable space savings.”
