Callaway Fitness Launches Second Location in Puyallup

February 14, 2007

Callaway Fitness is christening a new fitness training facility this week located on Meridian Drive in the heart of Puyallup, a community of 35,000 near Tacoma in west-central Washington. It is the second location for owner Michael Petrovic following a remarkable recovery that sent him on a mission to bring the best possible fitness training to his clientele.

In 2001, a serious motorcycle accident left Petrovic confined to a wheel chair and told that he could never walk again. Just four years after the accident, he was walking without the aid of crutches or a leg brace and opening his first Callaway Fitness location at 17615 85th Avenue. The local entrepreneur attributes his recovery to strong faith, consistent fitness training and the unyielding support from family and friends.

The new Callaway Fitness location aims to replicate the motivating environment promoting positive lifestyle change, this time with a wall-to-wall assortment of Nautilus(R) commercial equipment created by the Vancouver, Wash.-based fitness leader. Callaway Fitness chose the equipment for its superior design and attention to proper physical movements.

“I trained on Nautilus equipment after my accident, and I feel qualified to say that the equipment offers the safest and most effective biomechanical movements available,” said Petrovic, a certified personal trainer and owner of Callaway Fitness. “Our partnership with Nautilus means that Callaway Fitness members have access to the best fitness rehabilitative and training technology available today.”

The original Callaway Fitness location has Nautilus(R) Nitro Plus(R), Nautilus XPLOAD(R), and Nautilus free weight strength equipment. Meanwhile, the new location will include

Nautilus strength equipment, along with Nautilus Commercial Series ellipticals, treadmills, upright and recumbent exercise bikes, Schwinn(R) IC bikes and StairMaster(R) stepmills. The first Callaway club opened in 2004 to serve the Puyallup, South Hill and Graham area. A third location is under consideration.

“Michael Petrovic’s story illustrates the compelling physical triumphs available to anyone who is committed to training with quality equipment,” said Jim Liggett, Vice President of Commercial Sales, Nautilus, Inc. “We are proud to partner with Callaway Fitness to offer its members a complete assortment of our commercial strength and cardiovascular products.”
