Dr. Meltzer is co-director of Allergy & Asthma Medical Group and Research Center, as well as Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of California, both in San Diego. He has participated in nearly 600 research studies focused on various aspects of respiratory disease and authored more than 400 scientific publications.

In addition to his extensive clinical and research accomplishments, Dr. Meltzer has been a member of national and international advisory groups including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Pulmonary/Allergy Advisory Committee, the Rhinosinusitis Initiative and the World Health Organization’s initiative Allergic Rhinitis Impact on Asthma (ARIA). He has also served as president of the San Diego Allergy Society, the California Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, and the Joint Council of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
