The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center Partner to Provide World-Class Rehabilitation Services to Indiana
CHICAGO, Feb. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC) and Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center (SJRMC) of South Bend, IN, announced today a strategic partnership that will expand access to world-class physical medicine and rehabilitation services to the citizens of north central Indiana.
This partnership marks two important milestones for the two health systems. SJRMC will be the only health care system in the region to offer RIC's full spectrum of physical medicine and rehabilitation within both acute and post-acute care, including medical-surgical rehabilitation, inpatient rehabilitation, long-term acute care and outpatient rehabilitation. In addition, this is the first extension of RIC's world-class services outside of the state of Illinois, as part of its long-term growth strategy.SJRMC, a member of Trinity Health, serves more than one million people in the Michiana market, including north central Indiana and southwest Michigan that touches eight counties and geographically touching both states.
