Healtheuniverse Announces Non-Embryonic Adult Stem Cell Technology Approaching Clinical Trials

Healtheuniverse Inc. (PINKSHEETS: HLUN), a biotechnology development firm engaged in research, development and commercialization of regenerative medicine therapies utilizing non-embryonic adult stem cells, announced today that the Company's non-embryonic stem cell technology is being prepared for clinical trials. The Company has researched and is preparing to submit an application through an Independent Institutional Review Board to pursue a clinical trial for the utilization of fat-based stem cells in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery. Institutional Review Board (IRB) and other approvals must be received at the initial study sites before opening for enrollment.
Adipose tissue, also known as fat, is an abundant source of stem cells and other regenerative cells that can contribute to the repair and healing of damaged tissue. The first clinical trial and subsequent clinical trials will be focused on growing different cell types from adult stem cells utilizing the Company's proprietary process. Therapies utilizing this process have varied applications but will initially be focused on plastic, cosmetic, and reconstructive surgery. Additional applications in the areas of wound care, orthopedic, vascular, and cardiac surgery are also benchmarked to be pursued.
