Posted on: Thursday, 1 March 2007, 12:01 CST

Bruce A. Mallin, M.D., F.A.C.S., and Matthew J. Seidel, M.D., announced the opening of their practice, Orthopaedic Surgical Oncology of Arizona (OSO). OSO is Arizona's only center dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and management of musculoskeletal tumors in both pediatric and adult patients.

"We are very pleased with the opening of our new orthopaedic oncology center," said Dr. Mallin. "At OSO we care for patients with both benign and malignant disorders of the musculoskeletal system. We have focused our practice on the management of patients with challenging musculoskeletal tumors resulting from primary or metastatic disease."

Dr. Seidel stated, "This new center will help meet the needs of the state's patients requiring this highly specialized care. We utilize cutting-edge technology to preserve both limb and function while avoiding amputation in many cases. Our unique surgical expertise also allows us to treat non-oncologic patients requiring joint replacement as well as those with acute or late complex fracture care needs."

Centrally located in the Valley of the Sun, Orthopaedic Surgical Oncology of Arizona is located on Shea Boulevard, just West of Tatum Boulevard. The center's full contact information is provided below.
