Talks on Services
March 1, 2007
A future services crisis at Whitby Community Hospital is to be probed by North Yorkshire County Council’s scrutiny of health committee.
Tough talks at a public meeting in town tonight will include maternity services and the building of a new community hospital.
Committee chairman John Blackie said: “Local people have become increasingly anxious about services at their hospital in view of serious cutbacks in healthcare provision as a result of the financial crisis in the NHS.”
* People are invited to attend the meeting tonight at 6.30pm at Whitby Pavilion.
