WILMINGTON, N.C., Mar. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The Coastal Carolinas Health Alliance (CCHA), a non-profit cooperative of 11 hospitals serving more than one million people in Southeastern North Carolina and Northeastern South Carolina has partnered with Omnicell, Inc. for medication-use technology.
So far, three CCHA member hospitals have installed OmniRx(R) cabinets, including Sampson Regional Medical Center, Loris Healthcare System, and Conway Medical Center.
"The purpose of the Alliance is to provide a cooperative forum for improving the quality and delivery of healthcare to the North and South Carolina citizens we serve," explained Michael Smith, Director of New Vendor Relations for CCHA. "After one of our hospitals spoke very highly of Omnicell, the cooperative conducted an extensive review and decided to partner with Omnicell for the purchase of Pharmacy Point-of-Use Cabinets. The hospitals that use OmniRx cabinets seem to be very happy with the product."
