Injured Student Dies

The university student critically injured on Wednesday following a violent storm, died in Waikato Hospital on Saturday. Huei Ching Cheng, 20, had been on life support in the hospital’s intensive- care unit after suffering severe head injuries when she was hit by a falling tree branch estimated to weigh three to five tonnes. Her parents came from Taiwan to be at her bedside.
